Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Peppertree Place just before 1 a.m. regarding an assault.
PLANO, Texas — One person has been arrested after a standoff with SWAT in Plano early Monday morning, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Peppertree Place just before 1 a.m. regarding an assault. When police say when they arrived on scene, they were able to make contact with the victim of the assault, who said her husband threatened her with a firearm after assaulting her.
The woman and one of her sons were able to escape to safety, leaving the husband alone in the home, police say.
Several attempts to contact the suspect were unsuccessful and SWAT was called in, according to authorities. Contact was evetually made with the the suspect, he exited the residence and was taken into custody just after 5 a.m.
Police have not released the name of the suspect.
