An officer from an unidentified agency was involved in a shooting at a Fort Worth apartment complex, with police stating no threat to the public remains.
FORT WORTH, Texas — An officer was involved in a shooting at an apartment complex in Fort Worth on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
The apartment complex, 35 West at Champions Circle Apartments, is located in the 3600 block of Outlet Boulevard near Texas Motor Speedway, police said. FWPD said it was not their officer involved in the shooting, and they were only there to assist. Northlake police were also on scene, but told WFAA the shooting did not involve one of its officers either.
It was unclear which law enforcement agency the officer works for.
There was no ongoing threat to the public, FWPD said.
There was no other information immediately available. WFAA has sent a crew to the scene to gather more information.
