Northwest ISD has appointed Amanda Bomar as the new principal of Prairie View Elementary School.
DALLAS — Northwest ISD has named Amanda Bomar as the new principal of Prairie View Elementary School.
Bomar joined Northwest ISD two years ago and served as principal of Hughes Elementary School, establishing a strong community partnership with the campus and its families.
“While I’m sad to leave my Hughes Hawk family behind, I’m excited to join another family of Hawks and establish relationships with our students, teachers and families,” Bomar said.
Bomar has been awarded for her professional abilities over the years, being nominated for the HEB Outstanding Teacher Award and earning multiple teaching grants. She has led presentations on instructional leadership, professional learning, and other categories in her school districts and across the region.

Bomar strongly believes in fostering a positive campus culture that sets a tone for student learning and family engagement.
“An exciting year lies ahead for our Prairie View Hawks, entering a new school building and continuing to welcome new friends through significant enrollment growth,” Bomar said. “I look forward to all we will accomplish together with our students.”
