HOUSTON — The North Loop headed west at McCarty has reopened after an overturned 18-wheeler shut down the freeway for hours early Friday morning.

Houston TranStar initially reported the crash at 11:59 p.m. It wasn’t until 6:50 a.m. that the freeway was reported reopened.
At this point, we don’t know how the wreck happened or if anyone was injured.
The roads are slick this morning after rain and storms moved through overnight, with more on the way. Give yourself plenty of extra time this morning and be careful out there.
