New Fort Bend community to add 1,000+ homes

A 359-acre master-planned community in Fort Bend County will bring 1,000+ homes, parks, and amenities for first-time buyers.

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Another master-planned community is now underway in Fort Bend County, promising to bring more than 1,000 single-family homes to the area.

The Signorelli Co. said it broke ground last month on Holly Ridge on 359 acres west of Rosenberg along the southern edge of U.S. Highway 90 Alternate and just east of Cottonwood Creek.

The community is designed with first-time homebuyers in mind, the developer said. The houses, all to be built by D.R. Horton on 40- and 50-foot wide lots and ranging from 1,200 to more than 3,000 square feet, are expected to start in the low $300,000s and cost up to about $450,000.

About 133 acres are reserved for recreational and green space. Planned community amenities include a swimming pool, sports field, picnic areas, playgrounds and walking paths. They are expected to be delivered in the first phase, along with 410 homesites, The Signorelli Co. said.
