Motorcyclist critically injured in Richardson crash on North Central Expressway

The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

RICHARDSON, Texas — A motorcyclist was injured after crashing into a concrete retaining wall at the exit ramp from North Central Expressway to the President George Bush Turnpike in Richardson and falling onto a frontage road below early Saturday, officials said.

The motorcyclist was traveling on the exit ramp from North Central Expressway to the President George Bush Turnpike shortly after 2 a.m. when the motorcyclist hit a concrete retaining wall, officials said.

The driver was thrown off and fell over the barrier and onto the frontage road below, according to a press release. 

The driver sustained “critical” injuries and was taken to a local hospital, officials said. 

The Richardson Police Department’s Special Crash Investigation Team investigating the crash, police said.
