HOUSTON — A longtime family-owned milkshake brand is coming to Houston as part of a recent national expansion push.
Two different franchisees are working to open MilkShake Factory locations in the Katy-Cypress area and The Woodlands, the Pittsburgh-based company confirmed.
Both signed their leases in the past month or so and are currently in the permitting and general contractor bidding phases, MilkShake Factory President Dan Reese said. They are expected to open by the first quarter of next year.
The first is in a 1,511-square-foot space at 7040 Elyson Exchange Way, Suite E-100, in the Elyson Town Center, a 200,000-square-foot retail center under development at the northwestern corner of the Grand Parkway and FM 529.
A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing lists Charlotte, North Carolina-based Interior Architects as the design firm for the estimated $250,000 project. TDLR filings are preliminary and subject to change.
