AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Leander Police Department found an easier way for the community to scan lost pets that are found.
Leander Police said on social media that it has a new microchip scanning station outside the police department, located at 705 Leander Drive. The scanning station is located to the left of the front door.
“This microchip scanning station is the first self-scanning station in the area,” police said.
Leander PD said that other scanning stations “are scheduled to be installed throughout the city.”
Anyone who has questions about the scanning station can contact Leander Animal Services at 512-528-2800, police said.
