According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Leman, Jr. was taken into custody on Sunday.
HOUSTON — A man charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths of his parents last month is now in police custody.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Leman Jr., 47, was taken into custody without incident on Sunday. He was taken to the Harris County joint processing center and booked into the Harris County Jail on capital murder charges.
At this point, a motive is unknown.

Leman was wanted for the murders of his father, Christopher Leman Sr., 75, and mother, Mary Leman, 73. They were found during a welfare check at their home off Crosby Lynchburg Road, north of Barbers Hill Road on July 11, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The father was pronounced dead at the scene, while the mother was transported by Life Flight to a hospital where she died two days later on July 13. Leman was formally charged Friday.
The victims were found in an area with dense vegetation, about half a mile west of the road.
