ORANGE REGION, Fla. ( WFLA — Walt Disney World is dealing with a lawsuit after a man was injured on a high-speed water slide at its Blizzard Beach theme park, according to an issue filed Thursday.
The suit declared that the male, Eugene Strickland, had checked out the water park in July 2021 to try the Downhill Dual Dipper slide.
According to the legal action, Strickland evaluated concerning 334 extra pounds at the time, surpassing the slide’s weight limitation of 300 extra pounds.
Nevertheless, Strickland got on the experience and “became for a short while air-borne as a result of the experience’s ‘exciting rates’ and layout,” the suit asserted.
Strickland claimed he vigorously landed onto the hard plastic surface area of the slide, experiencing “long-term devastating injuries.”
He accused Walt Disney Globe of negligence and failing to preserve safe facilities. He said that Disney had an obligation to take care of the water slide’s “dangerous conditions.”
