AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man died over the weekend after a crash in southeast Austin near the airport on Saturday night, according to police.
The Austin Police Department responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 973 and Spirit Drive on July 5 around 9:30 p.m.
The driver, an unidentified male, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to APD.
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 50th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 54 deaths.
