Neighboring citizens told authorities they thought the male was in his 50 s or 60 s and was known to hang around around the area and in some cases sit on the tracks.
HOUSTON– Cops said a male is dead after being hit by a train and dragged about 300 feet down the tracks in southeast Houston Tuesday evening.
This happened around 9: 20 p.m. at the tracks along Galveston Road between Sims Bayou and Howard Drive.
The Houston Police Department stated they had obtained a phone call about a male on the tracks that was missing his legs. They discovered the man and he was obvious dead at the scene.
Neighboring residents informed police they thought the man was in his 50 s or 60 s and was known to hang around around the area and often remain on the tracks.
HPD said they were working to determine why the male got on the tracks at the time he was hit.
“Prayers for him and whoever his household is,” HPD Lt. R. Willkens claimed at the scene.
