AUSTIN (KXAN) — A tornado touched down in Hays County early Thursday as storms moved through. A Flood Watch was issued for portions of Central Texas Wednesday through Thursday at 7 p.m. as locally heavy rainfall could cause flash flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for south of Wimberley in Hays County early Thursday morning. A tornado touched down near Ranch Road 12 and Farm to Market Road 32 just after 1 a.m.
