Klein ISD employee fired for comments on Charlie Kirk’s death, district says

Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative political activist and media personality, was shot and killed while at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

KLEIN, Texas — The Klein Independent School District on Friday announced it has fired an employee for making “senseless and completely unacceptable remarks” on the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

“Effective immediately, this individual’s employment with Klein ISD has been terminated,” the district wrote on social media. “This conduct does not reflect the values, standards, or expectations of our school district and will never be tolerated.”

Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative political activist and media personality, was shot and killed while at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

“The loss of human life to violence is not only heartbreaking, it is a painful reminder of the deep need for compassion, peace, and respect in our world,” Klein ISD said.

The district said the remarks were made on social media. It was not immediately clear what the now-former employee said.

“We want to assure our community that we take matters of this nature with the utmost seriousness,” the district said. “Klein ISD remains fully committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment for every student, staff member, and family in our care.”
