Kerrville officials say they're getting threats for perceived missteps in flood response

Kerrville City Councilwoman Brenda Hughes said Monday that officials with the Hill Country town are receiving threatening phone calls in the wake of the deadly July 4 flood that took at least 132 lives, MySA reports. “Along with everything that has gone on over the course of the last 10 days or so, we’re not only dealing with all of the aftermath from this tragic event, but now we have to worry about threats that are coming to staff,” Hughes said at a city council meeting covered by the online news outlet. “Targeted threats that are specific to individual staff members.”
