Kaboom Town! celebrates its 40th anniversary with a fireworks show in Addison Circle Park on July 3rd.
ADDISON, Texas — Planning to celebrate Independence Day early at Addison’s Kaboom Town? You’re in for a treat.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the beloved fireworks show. The event takes place on Thursday, July 3, at Addison Circle Park with gates opening at 5 p.m.
Here’s the full schedule:
- 5 p.m. – Gates open
- 6:30 p.m. – Live music by The Elton Johns (A tribute band)
- 8:15 p.m. – Presentation of the Colors & National Anthem
- 8:30 p.m. – Performance by the Emerald City AllStars
- 9:30 p.m. – Kaboom Town! Fireworks Show
- 10 p.m. – Performance by Emerald City All-Stars
Getting there is easy, with parking, rideshare zones, and DART access all available. Be sure to check the event website for parking maps, prohibited items, and what you can bring into the park.

Monday, June 30
- Festival Way from Addison Road to Quorum Drive will close at 8 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open on Friday, July 4, by 3 a.m.
Wednesday, July 2
- Addison Circle Drive from Addison Road to Witt Place will close at 8 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open on Friday, July 4, by 3 a.m.
Thursday, July 3
- McEntire Place from Quorum Drive to Lewis Place will close at 11 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open on Friday, July 4, by 3 a.m.
- Quorum Drive from Arapaho Road to Morris Avenue will close at 11 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open on Friday, July 4, by 3 a.m.
- Witt Place (south of the public parking garage entrance) will close at 11 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open Friday, July 4th, by 3 a.m.
- Northbound lanes of Quorum Drive from Edwin Lewis Drive to Arapaho Road will close at 11 a.m.
- Anticipated to re-open Friday, July 4, by 3 a.m.
- Arapaho Bridge from Addison Road to Surveyor Boulevard will close at Noon
- Anticipated to re-open on Thursday, July 3, by 10:30 p.m. after the fireworks.
- Lindbergh Drive will close at 1 p.m.
- Anticipated to re-open on Thursday, July 3, by 10:30 p.m. after the fireworks.
