Juvenile charged with killing sister’s boyfriend, Houston police say

It started as a domestic disturbance involving the suspect’s sister and her boyfriend, according to the Houston Police Department.

HOUSTON — Houston police have arrested a juvenile who is charged with murder in a shooting in west Houston on Monday evening. 

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex on Richmond Avenue near Westheimer, just west of Highway 6.

It started as a domestic disturbance involving the suspect’s sister and her boyfriend, according to the Houston Police Department. 

They say the brother got involved in the altercation, and the teen shot the 22-year-old victim multiple times. He died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released. 

The 16-year-old suspect ran off on foot but eventually returned to the scene, where he was arrested. His name hasn’t been released because of his age.

The sister and the couple’s child weren’t hurt.
