Instance dropped versus Bexar Area teen formerly charged of shooting, eliminating pet, court records show

BEXAR REGION, Texas — A Bexar Area teen formerly accused of capturing and eliminating a pet had his situation dropped today, according to online court documents.

Michael Christopher George, 17, was arrested by the Bexar County Constable’s Workplace earlier this year in connection with the supposed criminal offense that took place on Dec. 29, 2024

Bexar Area court records show the instance was disregarded on Tuesday because of an inability to show past a sensible uncertainty the claimed criminal activity happened.

Deputies detained George after obtaining video footage of him dragging a leashed pet behind his bike on a crushed rock road.

The video clip, recorded by witnesses, appeared to reveal the event and the noise of numerous gunshots originating from a nearby woodland, according to an apprehension sworn statement.

George claimed he shot the canine after it bit a loved one, BCSO stated in a Facebook blog post.

Deputies at first said George lied and declared he offered the pet away. He later confessed to firing the pet and throwing the gun into Medina Lake, the affidavit stated.

George was later charged with animal cruelty. He uploaded bond the day after his arrest.
