Inmate found unresponsive at FCI Seagoville in North Texas dies, officials say

The inmate had been in custody at the Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville since June 5, officials said.

SEAGOVILLE, Texas — An inmate at the Federal Correctional Institute in Seagoville died after he was found unresponsive at the facility, officials say. 

Dillon Wagner, 33, was found unresponsive at the facility, and responding employees began life-saving measures and requested EMS, according to a press release. 

Wagner was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead, officials say. 

Wagner had been serving a 12-month sentence from the Western District of Texas for a supervised release violation, officials said. He’d been in custody at FCI Seagoville since June 5, 2025, according to officials. 

The FBI was notified about the incident, officials said. No additional information was immediately available. 

FCI Seagoville is a low-security federal correctional institution in the 2100 block of North Highway 175 in Seagoville.
