The worker was seen being lowered to the ground on a stretcher before being taken away in an ambulance.
HOUSTON — Houston firefighters helped rescue an injured worker on Tuesday at a construction site on the northeast side.
According to the Houston Fire Department, the worker fell and was injured. While the man was less than 40 feet off the ground, it wasn’t easy to get to him, so rescue crews were called to the scene.
This unfolded at the Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital off the North Loop near Homestead Road.
The worker was placed on a stretcher and lowered to the ground via crane just after 11 a.m., although it’s unclear how long the worker waited to be rescued. HFD officials said the worker was alert and conscious. It’s unclear what injuries they suffered.
Air 11 was over the scene as the worker made it to the ground and was transferred to a stretcher with wheels and rolled to a waiting ambulance.
