According to the Fort Worth Fire Department, this is a three-alarm fire, and no injuries have been reported.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Firefighters are working to douse the flames of a fire at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth Friday evening, officials say.
The Fort Worth Fire Department confirmed to WFAA that crews were called to the three-alarm fire at 4800 S Hulen St. just after 7:30 p.m. Officials said the mall is being evacuated, and people are being asked to avoid the area.
In an update posted to X around 7:45 p.m., FWFD said firefighters are working to fight the fire from both the inside of the mall and the roof of the building. No injuries have been reported, according to FWFD.
At about 8 p.m., Fort Worth FD said the third alarm was canceled and the fire was under control.
“Reports of explosions and roof collapse were due to skylights breaking,” FWFD told WFAA. “No explosion. No roof collapse. Fire is contained to roof.”
WFAA has a crew heading to the scene to learn more.
