At this point, it’s not clear how the couple died. Police believe the man killed the woman before killing himself.
HOUSTON — A man and woman are dead in what police believe was a murder-suicide in west Houston Monday. Investigators say the couple’s young children told police where the couple was.
It happened at an apartment complex along Meadowglen near the intersection of Westheimer and Wilcrest.
Police were sent to the complex a little after 5 p.m. Once there, they found three children, ages 3, 2 and 1. Police say the children were looking for food at the complex.
Officers spoke to the children, who told them that their parents were dead inside one of the units at the complex. Police went inside and found a man and woman dead.
Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department told KHOU 11’s Maria Aguilera that it appears the man killed the woman before killing himself.
Crowson didn’t say how the couple died, but said it appeared they had been dead for around 24 hours.
The children were with a neighbor during the investigation. Child Protective Services was called to determine what happens next with them.
