HOUSTON — A deadly crash shut down the southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway at Spur 5 early Friday morning.
Houston TranStar verified the crash at 3:32 a.m., reporting all southbound main lanes were shut down.
KHOU 11 traffic expert Jennifer Reyna said the freeway could be closed for several hours. Reyna recommends drivers take the Cullen exit before they get stuck on the freeway.
At this point, we don’t know what led up to the crash or the number of fatalities.
