A major crash on Highway 59 near Crosstimbers and Kelley closed all southbound lanes Saturday night.
HOUSTON — A major crash shut down the southbound lanes of U.S. 59 near Kelley Street and Crosstimbers Saturday night, according to Houston police.
The call came in around 8 p.m. Dispatchers said a truck pulling a trailer collided with an SUV.
Investigators said at least one person may have been ejected in the crash. Houston Fire Department units arrived and found a person on the ground on the highway. That individual was transported to a nearby hospital.
At least one other person was also taken to an area hospital, but their conditions are not yet known.
All southbound lanes of U.S. 59 in the area remain closed as authorities investigate. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
