HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A major crash has shut down all westbound lanes of the East Freeway near Federal Road and Normandy Street, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Terry Garza.
In a social media post, Garza said that the incident may involve an auto-pedestrian collision and multiple lanes are affected.
According to Houston TranStar, one vehicle was involved. The freeway is completely shut down while an investigation is underway.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes as emergency crews respond to the scene.
