Houston police are investigating two deadly shootings and a stabbing attack near Hobby Airport after multiple violent incidents overnight.
HOUSTON — Houston police responded to multiple violent crime scenes across the city within just a matter of hours on Wednesday night, including two deadly shootings and a stabbing attack near Hobby Airport.
Investigators are now working to piece together what happened in each case as several investigations remain ongoing Thursday morning.
Homeowner shoots man near Tidwell after confrontation
One of the incidents happened around 8 p.m. near Tidwell in northeast Houston, where police say a homeowner shot and killed a man after a confrontation.
Investigators say the man who was killed had been reported as a suspicious person and was accused of repeatedly trespassing in a new housing development.
Police say the homeowner confronted the man near a wooded area and later told investigators the man attacked him.
Authorities say the homeowner is cooperating with investigators, and detectives are reviewing the case with the District Attorney’s Office.
Man found shot to death outside southwest Houston apartment complex
Police are also investigating a deadly shooting along Creekbend Drive in southwest Houston.
Authorities say a man was found shot and killed outside an apartment complex around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators say they found blood trails at the scene and are still trying to determine where the shooting started.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and searching for surveillance video as they work to identify who shot the man.
Two stabbed outside apartment complex near Hobby Airport
Police are also investigating a stabbing attack that happened just a few blocks north of William P. Hobby Airport.
Authorities say two people were stabbed outside an apartment complex along Broadway Street overnight.
Police say a woman was taken into custody after the attack.
All three investigations remain ongoing.
