His mother seeks justice after Brandon was found shot and burned in 2021.
HOUSTON — The mother of a 26-year-old Houston man who was killed nearly four years ago is pleading with anyone with information that could lead to an arrest to come forward.
Houston Police say Brandon Truman was killed October 19, 2021. His body was found shot and burned along Birnamwood Boulevard, south of Spring Creek Drive, near Bush Intercontinental Airport. But the person responsible was never found.
Truman’s mother, Jennifer Forbes, spoke exclusively with KHOU 11.
“He was a good-hearted person,” Forbes said. “No matter what he did, he was around like he always cared about you.”

Forbes drove from her home in North Carolina to Houston, days after her birthday to keep her son’s story alive.
“I just want somebody to come forward and do the right thing,” Forbes told KHOU 11. “Because what happened to Brandon, nobody deserves that.”
Forbes said she has called detectives every month since her son’s death, pursuing justice.
“He was shot, he was naked and thrown on the side of a road by the airport like he was a piece of trash,” Forbes said. “And he was only 26 years old.”
Andy Kahan on Crime Stoppers of Houston is helping Forbes’ efforts.
“Let’s be real, somebody out there knows who did this,” Kahan said.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest or charges of a suspect in the case.
“Grief is intensified when justice is lacking,” Kahan said. “And sadly, right now, justice is lacking for Brandon and his family.”
Forbes hopes a single piece of information may lead to a break in the case and give her peace.
“I can let go,” Forbes said when asked what getting justice for Truman would mean for her. “I mean, I can just let him go.”
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
