HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A 52-year-old man faces a murder charge after a 43-year-old woman was stabbed to death at a gas station in west Harris County last month, court documents show.

David Paiz is accused of stabbing Anna Sanchez to death on the night of June 26 at the Super Stop gas station off Highway 6 South.
Investigators said Sanchez was sitting at a gaming machine inside the gas station before the attack happened. The sheriff’s office said Paiz walked up to her and got into an argument before he stabbed her multiple times in the chest and head.
It’s still unclear what prompted the argument.
HCSO said Paiz took off on a bicycle after the attack. Sanchez was flown to a hospital where she died.
Details surrounding Paiz’s arrest were not immediately clear.
