HARRIS COUNTY, Ga. — A motorcycle rider is dead after a crash involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle in north Harris County Saturday morning, according to the Little York Fire Department.
The crash happened on W Mt Houston Road between Ella Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Drive. The fire department first posted about the crash on social media at 7:51 a.m.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured. Life Flight was called to the crash, but the motorcyclist was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Gonzalez said the road has been shut down between Ella Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Drive. It’s unclear when it will reopen.
