Georgetown Public Library to host kitten adoption event Aug. 6

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Georgetown Public Library said it would host a kitten adoption event with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter on Aug. 6.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the facility located at 402 West Eighth Street.

According to a news release, attendees are invited to a half-hour meet-and-greet with kittens starting at 11 a.m. Adoptions will follow at 11:30 a.m. and run until the event concludes.

There will be a $35 adoption fee charge should an attendee choose to adopt a kitten. However, the kittens will come spayed or neutered and also have received their first round of shots, according to Georgetown.

The press release said the kittens will leave the event in temporary carriers to be transported to their new homes.

All proceeds will benefit the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, according to Georgetown.
