FRISCO, Texas — A North Texas resident recently won a $2 million Powerball drawing prize.

A Frisco resident claimed the prize for the July 9 drawing, according to Texas Lottery. The prize-winning ticket was bought at Walmart Supercenter store at 8555 Preston Road in Frisco. The winner chose to remain anonymous.

The winning ticket with player-chosen numbers matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (5-9-25-28-69), but not the red Powerball number (5).

Powerball grand prizes start at $20 million and roll until the jackpot is won. Players win the grand prize by matching five numbers from a field of 69 numbers and one Powerball number from a field of 26 numbers.

Drawings are broadcast each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m.
