AUSTIN (KXAN)– A fox evaluated positive for rabies in Wimberley on Friday, according to the Hays Region Constable’s Office.
HCSO claimed in a social media message that a fox “was found showing unusual behavior” in the Palo Pinto Course in Wimberley, which is near Cypress Creek.
The firm said the fox was tested by the Division of State Wellness Solutions (DSHS), and that was when the examination confirmed to be positive for the virus.
“We are asking all people to please be careful. If you come in contact with a fox please do not touch it. There has actually been no known human contact with this fox,” HCSO stated.
