Firefighters travel from Mexico to aid Texas flood recovery


A brigade of firefighters from Mexico has traveled to the Texas Hill Country to aid with flood recovery efforts. Fundación 911 and Dirección de Protección Civil y Bomberos de Acuña, Coahuila — both based in the border town of Acuña — arrived in Ingram, Texas over the weekend. In a Facebook post announcing its arrival, the group shared photos of its crew helping the search efforts with the caption “solidaridad sin fronteras,” meaning solidarity without borders.
