Fastest-growing Houston company ranks high on 2025 Inc. 5000

A Houston software firm saw 7,188% growth in three years, earning a top 30 spot on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list.

HOUSTON — The fastest-growing Houston company on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list reported three-year revenue growth of 7,188%.

Action1, a software company founded in 2018, ranks No. 29 overall on Inc. magazine’s annual list. The company also grew its headcount 300%.

Action1 touts its services as reinventing software patching with the goal of preventing cyberattacks that exploit vulnerabilities. The company’s website lists such customers as eBay, Purell, Coca-Cola and Nestle.

However, the highest-ranked Texas company is McKinney-based manufacturer Maverick Power, coming in at No. 16 with 9,272% growth. Austin-based RazorMetrics was next at No. 18 with 9,073%.

To make the Inc. 5000 list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue as of March 31, 2021. The minimum revenue requirement is $100,000 for 2021 and $2 million for 2024.
