Donn's Depot hosts benefit to help Austin musician

AUSTIN (KXAN) — For decades, Donn’s Depot has been a gathering place for those who play music and those who want to listen to it. It’s a place that draws in people from all over, allowing them to take in the talented bands and musicians that stop by, or the musicians that play on a regular basis.

One of those musicians is Chris Gage, who has played at Donn’s on Monday nights for many years. Recently, he had to step away to deal with some health concerns. Now, his friends, other musicians and the Donn’s Depot community is stepping in to help raise money and show how much he’s loved.

A musical benefit was put on at Donn’s Depot Monday to show support for Gage.

“We’re so grateful for the love and excitement surrounding this event — it’s going to be a powerful night of music, community and celebration for Chris, featuring an all-star lineup of Austin’s finest,” said a post on social media.

This is a sold-out event, but anyone who wants to tune in can watch the performances live on the Donn’s Depot Facebook page.

Michelle Beebe, a longtime friend of Gage, says he is part of the Donn’s Depot family and they want to do anything they can do to show support.
