This weekend, travelers may encounter road closures near Terminals C and D due to construction at DFW Airport.
DALLAS — Those flying out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport this weekend should be prepared for possible traffic delays as construction leads to temporary road closures and lane reductions near Terminals C and D.
The airport indicates that the disruptions will mainly impact northbound traffic on International Parkway and vehicles exiting from Terminal C’s North Exit, with detours available to manage traffic flow.
The most notable alteration is a 28-hour shutdown of the Terminal C North Exit, starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, May 30, and ending at 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 1. During this period, vehicles departing from Terminal C will need to utilize the South Exit Plaza or take a U-turn to return to northbound International Parkway.
Moreover, a lane will be closed on N. International Parkway near Terminal C, which may lead to traffic delays, particularly during peak travel hours. The right lane will be closed for construction; however, specific hours for this restriction were not provided by airport officials.
Travelers are encouraged to arrive early, particularly those departing from Terminals C or D, and to use traffic applications to stay updated on real-time traffic conditions. It is advisable to allow additional time to reach terminals and navigate potential detours.
These closures are part of ongoing infrastructure enhancements at DFW Airport.
