ROSENBERG, Texas — Fort Bend ISD graduation ceremonies are officially underway at the Fort Bend County Epicenter, and local drivers should expect traffic delays through Monday evening.
According to Rosenberg Police, traffic is currently moving smoothly into the Epicenter from all directions, but congestion is still expected as thousands of attendees gather for each ceremony. Drivers are urged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid backups, especially around peak arrival and dismissal times.
Graduation schedule at the Fort Bend County Epicenter
- 9 a.m. – Kempner High School
- 1 p.m. – Travis High School
- 6 p.m. – Willowridge High School
- 9 a.m. – Elkins High School
- 1 p.m. – Clements High School
- 5 p.m. – Ridge Point High School
- 1 p.m. – Marshall High School
- 5 p.m. – Bush High School
- 9 a.m. – Dulles High School
- 1 p.m. – Austin High School
- 5 p.m. – Hightower High School
Alternate routes to avoid Epicenter Traffic
If you’re not attending the ceremonies or simply want to avoid delays, consider these alternate routes:
- Use the U.S. 59/I-69 frontage roads instead of the main freeway for better flow near exits.
- Approach via FM 2218 or FM 762, which may offer less congestion from the south and east.
- Cottonwood Church Road or Powerline Road can serve as potential detours depending on your direction of travel.
- Avoid Highway 36 near the Epicenter during scheduled ceremony times, when traffic is heaviest.
