The operation comes after police executed search warrants at nine vape shops in Allen in August 2024.
DALLAS — The Allen Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration Dallas Field Division executed multiple search warrants as part of an ongoing effort to dismantle the illegal distribution of consumable THC products, officials confirmed.
The Allen Police Department said in a press release Tuesday that three warehouses in Dallas were hit, as well as residential search warrants in Plano, Carrollton and Colleyville. The three warehouses searched by police in the operation were Frontline Wholesale, Cannify Goods, and Monster Smoke Wholesale, according to Allen police.
WFAA’s chopper caught images of the police outside of Monster Smoke Wholesale.
The operation followed multiple warrants from August 2024, where police searched nine vape shops in Allen, where illegal products containing THC concentrations between 7% and 78% were discovered. The legal limit of THC concentrations in hemp-derived products in the State of Texas is 0.3%, according to police.
Officers seized over 75,000 pounds of consumable THC, officials said. Plus, currency and assets valued at about $7 million.
The search warrants executed at the warehouses this week were part of a months-long investigation where undercover officers, on multiple occasions, purchased illegal THC products directly from the warehouses, police said.
Allen police said detectives were also working to see where the money from these illegal sales is being directed, either within the U.S. or overseas.
