One person was killed and another was injured in Oak Cliff in Dallas back in May, police said.
DALLAS — A 20-year-old man has been indicted for murder in connection with a shooting in Dallas in May, court records show.
Thomas McLellan was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail on May 6, charged with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:30 p.m. on May 5 in the 3100 block of June Drive, where they found that two brothers were shot inside a home, DPD said.
Twenty-year-old Esau Iglesias died, and the other victim was taken to the hospital, police said.
McLellan fled the scene and led police on a chase to Italy, Texas, officers on the scene said.
A Dallas County grand jury indicted McLellan on the murder charge in June.
