Costs Miller Bar-B-Q faces 3rd legal action for ‘precariously warm’ barbecue sauce

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Expense Miller Bar-B-Q is facing a third suit for offering “dangerously hot” bbq sauce that created injuries to a client, according to court documents.

Rose Roque of Bexar County filed the lawsuit on Thursday against Expense Miller Bar-B-Q Enterprises on behalf of her 4 -year-old boy, who supposedly suffered second-degree burns from splashed barbeque sauce.

On May 30, 2024, the kid and his grandpa went to the restaurant at Loop 410 and Culebra Road on the Northwest Side.

While both were waiting in the food line, the suit affirms that an employee placed an exposed container with “hazardously warm bbq sauce” on the grandpa’s tray.

The sauce then splashed on the youngster, including his face, which created second-degree burns, according to the suit.

The claim asserts there is surveillance video clip of the incident that the dining establishment has declined to divulge.

Roque is looking for $ 1 million for injuries and damages, consisting of physical impairment and medical care costs.

In January, Costs Miller Bar-B-Q was ordered to pay about $ 2 8 million in a Bexar Area claim for offering “alarmingly warm” barbecue sauce.

Adhering to the January claim, the company was purchased to add warning labels to menus and takeout bags, which review “CAUTION: COMPONENT ARE HOT” in strong black text on a yellow background.

Last month, an additional Bexar Region female submitted a $ 1 million lawsuit versus the firm for serving “precariously warm bar-b-que sauce” that thawed a part of her denims, the legal action declares.
