The two-story penthouse atop The Belfiore condominium tower at 1275 S. Post Oak Lane recently hit the market with an initial asking price of $11 million after previously being positioned as a duplex. However, renovations to the condo were so extensive that it is being marketed as essentially a ground-up build within an existing structure that was designed to make it a true single-family home.
The home was never fully completed or occupied prior to getting its most recent overhaul, Douglas Elliman noted. The real estate firm said the property’s previous owner was an entity affiliated with the McNair family.
The residence now features a sculptural floating staircase, expansive terraces with sweeping east, south and west-facing views, and interiors that were designed to balance architectural precision with a warm, tactile material palette.
