CNN: Uvalde school officials withholding key emails related to mass shooting

CNN is reporting that in one of the emails, the principal at the time warned that the doors could not lock.

UVALDE, Texas — There are new reports that Uvalde school officials are withholding key emails related to the Robb Elementary School massacre, despite the court order to have them released.

CNN is reporting that unreleased emails include a warning from Robb Elementary’s then-principal, saying classroom doors were not or could not be locked.

The email reportedly was sent the school district 9 months before that shooting.

CNN also reports another email shows district officials asked for a settlement offer from the lawyer of former Uvalde ISD police chief Pete Arredondo before he was fired.

KHOU 11 is now working to learn more about these reportedly unreleased emails.
