The district did not name the teacher, but said they worked at Cleveland Ninth Grade Center.
CLEVELAND, Texas — A Cleveland ISD employee has been charged for having an alleged improper relationship with a student, the district said in a news release.
The district did not name the teacher, but said they worked at Cleveland Ninth Grade Center.
“Student safety remains our highest priority,” said Superintendent Dr. Glenn Barnes. “The district acted immediately upon receiving this information and continues to fully cooperate with law enforcement and all appropriate authorities.”
Cleveland ISD said the employee is no longer allowed on campus and is not in contact with students.
“Due to federal and state student privacy laws, as well as the ongoing legal process, the district is limited in the amount of information it can publicly release at this time,” the district said in a news release. “The district is encouraging parents and guardians to maintain open, age-appropriate conversations with their children and to report any concerns to campus administration or district officials.”
Details surrounding the alleged incident are limited at this time.
