A Cleveland ISD school bus crashed on FM 1010, but all students were safely evacuated.
CLEVELAND, Texas — A Cleveland ISD school bus carrying students from Cleveland High School and Cleveland Ninth Grade Center was involved in a crash Monday morning on FM 1010, coming to rest on its side in a ditch.
According to the district, all students were safely evacuated from the bus. They are being taken to the North Service Center, where trained personnel are conducting medical evaluations.
The CISD Transportation Department has contacted parents and guardians directly and sent notifications through SMART Tag for every student involved.
Officials emphasized that if a student does not attend CHS or C9 and no call or SMART Tag notification has been received, that child was not on the bus.
Students who are medically cleared will be taken back to their home campuses, where campus nurses will monitor them throughout the day. Those needing additional care will be taken by EMS or released to a parent at the North Service Center.
Emergency responders, district leadership, and law enforcement remain on the scene to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved. Cleveland ISD says it will continue to share verified updates as they become available.
