Carroll ISD confirmed Monday that an employee was arrested in an incident unrelated to Carroll ISD students, staff or district facilities.
SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A Carroll Independent School District employee was placed on administrative leave after the district became aware of their arrest, the district confirmed.
The arrest does not involve any Carroll ISD students, other staff, or district facilities, the district said in a statement to parents.
The North Richland Hills Police Department is investigating the incident, the statement read.
The North Richland Police Department confirmed the employee, Jake Thomas Quinn, 27, was arrested on a complaint of assault of a pregnant person – family violence for an incident that happened in late April or early May in the 7300 block of Post Oak Drive.
The relative of Quinn’s reported the alleged assault to police on June 9, officials say, and Quinn was arrested June 19.
Quinn was transferred to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department, where he was arraigned on the charge and received a $2,500 bond, police say. He has since bonded out of the Tarrant County Jail, records show.
Quinn was placed on leave while the investigation is pending, and the district reviews the situation in accordance with established policies and procedures, the release states.
The district did not release any additional information about the identity of the employee or their charge.
“The safety and well-being of our Dragons always remains our top priority,” the district said.
