AUSTIN (KXAN) — Thursday mark’s one week since flash floods struck Central Texas with 166 people still missing.
At least 120 people have been confirmed dead across six counties.
Since the flooding took place, so many people have stepped up to volunteer, with some helping search in the impacted areas. Others have donated food and water, and now many businesses are helping as well.
One of those businesses is Flo’s Wine Bar and Bottle Shop, located in west Austin.
Flo Conte, one of the owners, said they will be donating 100% of sales on July 10 to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
She said it’s the least she can do to help the families who are dealing with so much.
Trey Wier, is another business owner who is giving back, he is the CEO of Burlebo — an outdoor activewear apparel company.
He said 100% of net proceeds will go to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
P. Terry’s also donated 100% of profits from all 36 locations in Austin on July 10 to Austin Disaster Relief. KXAN photojournalist Frank Martinez said the P. Terry’s on Nueces Street & W Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard brought in a huge crowd for lunch.
