Bun B hosts Summer Block Party at Montrose Trill Burger

Bun B plans to celebrate with burgers, music, and family activities.

HOUSTON — Houston rap icon and entrepreneur Bun B is throwing a two-day Summer Block Party at Trill Burgers’ Montrose location.

The event marks Juneteenth and the second anniversary of the restaurant’s South Shepherd location. It will take place Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, from noon to 9 p.m. at Trill Burgers, located at 3607 S. Shepherd Drive.

Bun B, who launched the smashburger concept in Houston to widespread acclaim, is inviting the community to “kick off the trillest summer ever with a Houston-sized celebration.”

Festivities begin each day at noon with a range of kid-friendly activities, including face painting, interactive games, and coloring books. DJs will bring the music from 6 to 9 p.m., while the parking lot will host live performances by local talent, including Zydeco Jam (featuring Trilly Polk), Hershe Da Lyricist, and Kendra Jack.

The celebration will also feature giveaways and limited-edition Trill Burgers merchandise drops throughout the weekend.

For those unable to attend the party, Trill Burgers is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in-store, with drive-thru service extended until midnight. Delivery is also available through DoorDash.
