Friendswood will welcome a B&B Theatres complex featuring a 14-screen cinema and entertainment options next year.
HOUSTON — Friendswood is getting a large entertainment complex featuring some of the country’s biggest movie screens.
B&B Theatres, a longtime Missouri-based movie theater chain, is planning a 14-screen movie theater along with bowling, an arcade, and a bar and grill on 90,000 square feet in the future Friendswood City Center.
The 106-acre, $750 million mixed-use district at FM 528 and Blackhawk Boulevard is currently under development by Friendswood-based Tannos Development and Wolfgramm Capital and will include retail, offices, multifamily and a hotel.
The theater is expected to open in the fourth quarter of next year. The Houston Chronicle first reported on B&B’s opening in Friendswood.
“This is going to be something special,” Brock Bagby, president of B&B Theatres, said in a press release. “The Friendswood City Center is an exciting and dynamic project, and we are proud to be part of it.”
