Police say officers found two men shot Thursday afternoon outside one of the apartment buildings. No one has been arrested so far.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington officers found two men shot Thursday afternoon outside an apartment building, police say, and no suspect in sight.
Police say they were called at about 5:10 p.m. to the apartment complex in the 400 block of West Park Row Drive in response to a reported shooting.
Officers found a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old man outside one of the buildings with gunshot wounds, police say. They were taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, officials say. They will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiners Office.
Police say detectives are still working to identify the shooter, who fled the scene.
“The victims, who are brothers, did not live at the apartment complex. Investigators are working to determine why the two young men were at the location. However, based on evidence recovered at the crime scene, they believe high-risk, illicit activity may be involved,” a press release stated.
Arlington police said the homicide investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Robinson at 817-459-5935. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.
