Work has begun on a new phase of the sprawling, nature-oriented Viridian master-planned community, bringing the final multifamily piece to the project in the growing suburb of Arlington.
Dallas-based StreetLights Residential announced July 7 its plans to break ground on the third phase of Viridian, which is expected to bring more townhomes and luxury units.
The community is surrounded by five lakes and features 500 acres of open space and miles of nature trails. Each residence is built to optimize views of the central pool courtyard and the Lake Viridian shoreline. Additionally, the architecture combines a lake-house design with old-world European elements.
Viridian, a 2,300-acre active lifestyle community, has driven considerable wealth into northeast Arlington, outpacing the likes of the Park Cities last year. In 2024, the 76005 ZIP code, which is home to Viridian, ranked No. 3 for the top 10 wealthiest zip codes in North Texas.
